Kenyans living in Sierra Leone, and members of Kenyan families here (spouses, children and partners), are welcome to join. Every registration is reviewed by a committee member before it is approved.
Usually within a day. You will receive an email as soon as your membership is approved. You can log in in the meantime, but the members area stays locked until then.
Yes. Membership is free. Contributions to the community kitty are voluntary.
Only approved members, and only if you tick "Show me on the map". Pins are rounded to roughly 100 metres so your exact home is never shown. You can remove your pin at any time from the My Location page.
Approved members can see your number on your services, posts and map pin — unless you untick "Show my phone number" on your profile. The public never sees it.
Being far from home, it matters that someone can be reached if a member falls ill or needs help. On your Profile page you can add your next of kin in Kenya and a local contact in Sierra Leone (a neighbour or work colleague). These details are private — only you and the community administrators can see them.
Log in, go to My Services and click "Add Service". Choose a category, describe what you offer and, optionally, a price guide. Your service appears in the member directory straight away.
The kitty supports members in emergencies — illness, bereavement and repatriation — and helps fund community events. Send your contribution by mobile money or bank transfer, then record it on the Donate page so the treasurer can confirm it.
Use the "Requests & Sales" board in the members area. Choose "Request information" to ask for advice or recommendations, or "Garage sale" to sell items. Members can reply directly on your post.
